Autoimmune pancreatitis (AIP) was first described in 1961 and represents a rare form of immune mediated chronic pancreatitis, which is characterized by specific histological findings. Diagnostic imaging plays a critical role in the diagnosis of the disease, which in a proportion of patients may affect multiple organs, as part of the IgG4-related disease spectrum. The webinar will provide an overview of the current understanding into this interesting disease as well as offering various “tips and tricks” to help with a confident radiological diagnosis.
The ESGAR Certificate of Distinction (Level I) and Certificate of Excellence (Level II) offer a recognition at European level for radiologists who have reached a subspecialised level of knowledge in abdominal radiology, who are keen to maintain this level through continuous education and involvement in the field.
The ESGAR "Journal Watch" offers an online source for clinical commentary and review of recent and topical research papers published in the field of gastrointestinal and abdominal radiology. The reviews are provided by younger radiologists reflecting the ESGAR commitment to training and education. Click here to access this month’s review.
The ESGAR “Vintage Corner” offers you the opportunity to test your knowledge on the principles of GI and abdominal radiology, with particular emphasis on interpretation of the plain abdominal film. Interesting cases are provided by Prof. Alan Freeman, Cambridge/UK, with the solution to each case regularly updated on the ESGAR e-Education Portal.
Welcome to the ESGAR e-Education portal which aims to facilitate the web-based learning experience for ESGAR members and deliver high quality educational multimedia material covering the fields of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal radiology.
