Badges
Name badges will be mailed to participants who register until the second deadline. In case you do not receive your badge in the mail please visit the registration counter at the venue upon your arrival. Participants with a badge on hand may proceed to the fast lane registration.
Congress language
The official language of ESGAR 2023 is English, interpretation service will not be provided.
There are two official languages in Valencia: “Valenciano”, used in the Valencian Community, and Spanish, Spain’s official language.

Emergency
You can contact the emergency services in Spain by calling the pan-European emergency number (112) from any telephone. When you call 112, the operator diverts you to the relevant emergency service.
Filming and photography
We would like to inform you that there may be filming and photography during the annual meeting. A photo gallery with all photos taken during the congress will be available to registered participants on the ESGAR website until the end of June 2023. In addition, photographs taken during ESGAR 2023 may be used for the society's social media channels.
How to get to the venue
The Valencia Conference Centre is located on the main northwest approach road into the city. It is seven minutes from the Valencia-Manises international airport and eight minutes from the city centre and the high-speed train station. It has excellent transport links to the rest of the city via metro, taxi, bus, bike and tram.

Lead retrieval system
Your name badge is your business card. ESGAR and its sponsors are using a lead retrieval system during the congress. In practice that means that when you present your badge for scanning at an exhibition booth or for scanning when entering an industry sponsored lunch symposium, the following personal data can be retrieved: first name, last name, address details, email address.
Letter of invitation
The Central ESGAR Office is pleased to provide you with a formal invitation letter as soon as ESGAR has received your registration AND payment. It is understood that such an invitation is intended to help potential delegates to raise funds or to obtain a visa. This does not imply any commitment for ESGAR to provide financial funds or accommodation!
Liability
ESGAR is not liable for personal injury and loss of or damage to private property. Participants should obtain the appropriate travel insurance. The place of performance of any duties and obligations for both ESGAR and the participant’s sides shall be Vienna, Austria. Any contractual relationship with ESGAR shall be subject to Austrian law.
Official Partners
All correspondence concerning sponsorship and exhibition at ESGAR 2023 is exclusively handled by MAW - Medizinische Ausstellungs- und Werbegesellschaft. Any questions concerning accommodation in Valencia will be handled by THEORIA CONGRESOS.
Smoking
Smoking is banned in indoor public places in Spain. New rules will ban smoking in outdoor places such as beaches and terrasses from 2023 also.

Visa
Nationals of some countries will need a travel-visa to enter Spain (and Schengen area). Participants should contact the Spanish Embassy or Consulate in their home country as soon as possible to confirm their travel-visa requirements. It is the sole responsibility of the participant to procure the necessary visa to attend the congress. Participants should initiate the application process at least 3 months prior to departure. ESGAR is not able assist participants with their visa application and cannot intervene with Embassies or Consulates on behalf of any participant.
