The activities of European Radiology, official organ of ESGAR, ESR and several European Societies of radiological subspecialties, remain highly satisfactory.
Since its foundation by Prof. J. Lissner in 1991, European Radiology has grown rapidly and considerably. Our journal has become highly regarded in the imaging field.
The clearest indicator of European Radiology's development is the ISI Impact Factor 2013, which now places the journal at rank 13 of 121 in the subject category Radiology, Nuclear Medicine and Medical imaging, with an IF of 4.338, the highest IF since its foundation, making it the second ranked general radiological journal in the world, and number one in Europe.
Manuscript submission also reached new heights during 2014 (+16%), with nearly 500 articles published. All of these encouraging developments will give the new editorial team plenty to consider, as they attempt to maintain the high level of quality that European Radiology is now renowned for.
