So far no course exists that addresses the imaging spectrum of gastrointestinal diseases in a multidisciplinary approach for a multidisciplinary audience of radiologists, surgeons and gastroenterologists. In current medicine the use of imaging is not anymore only restricted to radiologists. Surgeons, gastroenterologists and many other specialists need to understand the images that they use in daily practice to guide their treatment. Vice versa radiologists now have become true sparring partners for their clinical colleagues and need to know the clinically relevant questions in order to provide useful information that will impact treatment decision making.
