Workshop Description

ESGAR (European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology) and EDS (European Digestive Society) aim to join forces in the organization of a multidisciplinary course on pancreatic diseases. The participants will learn how diagnosis depends on the structure of the pancreatic lesion, which can be directly visualized on US, CT or MR images and PET. Diagnosis depends also from invasive examinations. The timing of diagnosis has a great influence on possibility of surgical approaces and prognosis. This whorkshop will be invaluable in enabling radiologists to understand the underlying pathology. The multidisciplinary approach is the key to garatee the best diagnostic strategies and patient management.

Interactive elements:
The course format encourages interaction with teachers in an open welcoming atmosphere. Lectures will be followed by case-based interactive multidisciplinary discussions.

The historic city of Verona was founded in the 1st century B.C. It particularly flourished under the rule of the Scaliger family in the 13th and 14th centuries and as part of the Republic of Venice from the 15th to 18th centuries. Verona has preserved a remarkable number of monuments from antiquity, the medieval and Renaissance periods, and represents an outstanding example of a military stronghold.
Verona has been a thriving town for most of its history, and today smart shops and cafes fill the attractive medieval lanes of the historic centre. There's a lot to see, from Roman ruins to the so-called 'Juliet's balcony', and the town is also well-connected for exploring the surrounding area, including destinations like Lake Garda, Vicenza, Padua and Venice.
